Mercury retrograde (Red Communications) begins next Wednesday, June 26th and lasts through July 20th. Notice that the first day (June 26th) is also a Time-Out for most of the day, (depending on your time zone), making that day high risk for lots of activities. If you haven't already done so, get your computer system fully backed up (yes software too). Also if your car is making funny noises, get it fixed right away, before it breaks.
Beginning July 6th, Mercury comes back into range of a square to Uranus. This can bring interesting, or unusual, if not shocking, information to your attention. It can also bring great "ah-ha"s or sudden insights into how to solve a problem. However, it's also notorious for creating havoc with computers, phones, printers, emails, faxes, and all forms of electronic equipment. So be sure you update your back-ups daily. This cycle comes within one degree at the end of Mercury retrograde, but never peaks again. Even so, the end of this Mercury retrograde is more intense than the beginning of it. It's also best to use extra caution when driving.
This is the period that's designed to assist us in catching up. In order to do this, it's best to schedule 50% less than usual. It's also a good time to learn new things, or to look back at the past, review anything, reconsider anything and fix whatever needs it. It's also ideal for recycling and having garage or yard sales. It's just not a good period for signing contracts or starting new projects. This is primarily due to the fact that during this period we're reconsidering our needs, i.e. we don't really know what they are until we reach the end of the period.
As with all Mercury retrogrades, miscommunications are usually rampant, so double-check them for clarity and accuracy. Delays are also common, so give yourself extra time to get places or to accomplish your tasks. This time of year we often encounter construction or road repair delays. If we can change our expectations for a few weeks, our lives will go a lot smoother through this period. Also keep in mind that this Blue Communications period is often when we make mistakes and then have to correct them during this period. It helps to slow down now and recheck all details for accuracy. It's easier to fix them before they get out the door!
