INTERNATIONAL ASTROLOGY DAY: SAN FRANCISCO

International Astrology Day (IAD) is an annual observance/holiday celebrated by astrologers
and astrology enthusiasts. It is held on the spring equinox, the day the Sun enters Aries,
which is the first sign of the Tropical Zodiac, and has long been considered the astrological
new year. In observance of IAD the Association For Astrological Networking (AFAN) co-ordinates
astrological lectures and events around the world. A portion of the proceeds from the IAD -
San Francisco event will be donated to AFAN.

5:00 - 5:45 PM AMERICA'S MONEY KARMA - Jessica Murray

Even more so than sex, money is the big taboo in the United States. Coveted yet despised,
no other issue elicits such intense feelings. This ambivalence is spelled out in the chart of the USA; where Pluto, the planet of obsession, resides in the house of materialism. The indicators are clear that America’s money karma will either kill it or transform it; a crisis that will be played out over the next few years.

History of International Astrology Day
International Astrology Day was founded by the Association For Astrological Networking (AFAN)
in 1993, an outgrowth of the "Astrology Awareness Weekends" which AFAN had sponsored for
several years previously. The goals of the new holiday were to expand networking opportunities
among the astrological community, to direct media attention to positive aspects of astrology, and to help
raise funds for local astrological groups and for AFAN's legal, media, and other networking projects.
International Astrology Day (IAD) is an annual observance/holiday celebrated by astrologers and
astrology enthusiasts. It is held on the spring equinox, the day the Sun enters Aries, which is the first sign
of the Tropical Zodiac, and has long been considered the astrological new year. This date was selected
by a vote of AFAN Networkers when declaring the new holiday. In observance of IAD AFAN
co-ordinates astrological lectures and events around the world. Local astrology groups also participate,
often in co-ordination with AFAN. For anyone wanting to publicize their International Astrology
Day event, or to find out about local events there is also a frequently updated,
online list of IAD Events for 2010.

A portion of the proceeds from the IAD - San Francisco event will be donated to AFAN.
