The Integrated Astrological Perspective

In this workshop Steven will teach how to sort through the vast information in a birth chart to bring out what is essential. A psychotherapist typically builds a relationship naturally and gradually through conversations with a client. Not so the poor astrologer, who needs to go from "pleased to meet you" to profoundly serious - and often psychologically scary - material in the first fifteen minutes! We humanistic, evolutionary astrologers have the theoretical tools to understand and analyze people, but do we have the ability to apply them in a helpful way? In this workshop, we will concentrate not on abstract principles, but rather on finding the heart of the astrological matter and translating it into words that are meaningful, and perhaps even pivotal, to non-astrologers.

Steven will present some theory, but the bulk of the workshop will involve drawing the names of class members from a hat and spending an hour or two working on the realities of that chart and the experiences of that individual. Participation in that part of the work is voluntary. Some basic knowledge of astrology is assumed.
